The discipline of Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th century. Pilates Mat classes simulate workouts usually performed on a reformer and teach participants to develop their deep core postural muscles in an effort to create support for their spine. Every movement in the Pilates method has a purpose and our certified Pilates instructors make sure everyone understands the importance of what they are doing as well as overseeing the preciseness of each movement performed.
