I see training as a journey. It not only leads you to your goals, it lets you discover passion, discipline and mental toughness that you know you have inside. I look for that spark of interest, igniting your passion for training, and making your time in the gym something you look forward to, something fulfilling, not something you have to do. No matter what your physical condition is now, I believe there is a ming of an athlete in every singe one of us.
At an early age I learned the importance of "athletic mentality" that never allows you to quit & helps you perform at your best. I live by this technique and apply it when I work with my clients, whether it is a one-on-one session, boot camp, or group class. I follow Easter European protocols of strength training and build my client\'s workouts on fundamental exercises such as deadlifts, squats, pushups and lunges. Depending on my client\'s individual goals and needs, I incorporate a wide variety of training techniques including core training, plyometrics, athletic drills, yoga and stretching.
I am happiest when I\'m outdoors. I live one block away from the beach, and when I\'m not working, I never step a foot into a gym! I love to breathe in fresh air and feel the sun on my skin. I can watch sports (any kind) for hours, soccer is my all time favorite, and I go crazy for the Czech Republic national team, followed closely by Spain. Traveling is a pssion of mine, and I love going places that have a coast - maybe it\'s because I grew up in Prague with the ocean so far away!!!
BS in Health and Exercise Sciences with a Concentration in Fitness Management- University of Delaware
Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist- National Strength and Conditioning Association, USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach Certified
Since I was a little kid I’ve always had a true passion for athletics. After excelling in football and track and field in high school and then rugby throughout college, I realized my love for sports was guiding me towards a future career path. This triggered the earning of an Exercise Sciences degree and prompted the decision to move from New York to San Diego to become a personal trainer.
I have trained clients ranging from youth athletes to a 72 year old woman with MS and everyone in between. The last three years I have narrowed my focus and continuing education efforts to performance training for athletes. In doing so I’ve learned how to increase strength, speed, power, agility and endurance in athletes by utilizing Olympic lifting, plyometrics, speed training and footwork drills.
I also came to the realization that these same principles can be applied to everyday exercisers. Incorporating these specific weight training techniques and sport drills can improve coordination, balance, dexterity and can add variety and fun into any workout. Through this style of training, my clients not only look better but perform and feel better as well.
When I’m not working I enjoy playing rugby for OMBAC, surfing and spending time with friends and family.
Boxing and kickboxing for both fitness and competition, weight reduction.
BS in Exercise Science - Georgia Southern University
During college my love for boxing lead me back to the ring and I started training again, focusing on Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
2002 - Won a bronze medal in the Georgia state games in boxing.
2002 - First in Georgia’s annual N.A.G.A. tournament and in the South Carolina invitational Jiu Jitsu tournament.
I believe in living life to the fullest. Training hard helps you discover yourself, helps you learn things that you did not know. You learn every day that there is no limit to what you can achieve, you can always better yourself.
My drive to excel in fighting landed me in San Diego, where the competition is the toughest. Becoming a coach and a fighter and sharing my passion for martial arts is what drives me. At Fit, I have an opportunity to be all that every day and share it with my clients.
When I\'m outside of the gym I enjoy cooking and watching a lot of movies.

Fabrício “Morango” Camões has been one of the best kept secrets in the 155lb. weight class. After his American debut in ShoXC in which he knocked out heavily favored Joe Camacho, the world began to notice the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter with dynamite hands. Fabrício made quick work of Camacho stopping him in round one ending his five fight winning streak. Next Fabricio quickly defeated “Ultimate Fighter” finalist Sam Morgan in only 47 seconds of the first round by rear naked choke.
Like many kids in Brazil, Fabrício was enrolled in martial arts by his parents so he would stay out of trouble. Beginning with Judo at age 8, Fabrício quickly accelerated and moved on to the more aggressive style of Muay Thai training under renowned Muay Thai instructor Luiz Alvez.
At age 15 Fabrício also begain to train with Jiu-Jitsu legend, Royler Gracie. In the following years Fabrício amassed an impressive record in Jiu-Jitsu, including the 2005 European Middleweight Championship. Fabrício is also a 2x Brazilian Middleweight Champion and 6x Rio De Janeiro State Middle- weight Champion.
Fascinated by the “Vale Tudo” matches that were going on in and around Rio, Fabrício entered his first MMA fight at age 17, a tournament where he won his first fight and lost his second fight to Anderson “The Spider” Silva.
Fabrício currently lives and trains in San Diego, CA under the watchful eyes of Royler Gracie and Vinicius Aieta. Fabrício’s training partners include Jiu-Jitsu champions Ronaldo “Jacaré” de Souza, André Galvão and Bad Boy Fighter Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez.

It\'s all a matter or Corporal Intelligence. You can train your body and perform with focus, and fewer precise and perfect movements, rather than many halfhearted ones.

Jiu Jitsu is not just a martial art, is a life style. Your training partners is not just training partners, they are your second family and the mat your second home....
Jiu Jitsu literally translates to, "the gentle art." The philosophy is that not only can you, but that you actually should, learn to avoid the use of strength. Controlling your emotions, you should be able to obtain a position of dominance without using your strength, rather than necessarily immediately attempting to make the opponent submit. Is good for the mind, body and spirit.

PTA Global Certified I have an affinity for choreographing challenging workouts that bring every client close to their individual limit, both physically and mentally. I want a client to feel like quitting 15 minutes into the workout. I believe you can only see significant change when you\'re taken beyond your comfort zone, with consideration to safety, form, and effectiveness of course. I want a client to say "I would have never been able to do that on my own" after every workout. My training style is a hybrid of many training methods including: functional training, high intensity strength training, circuit training, and sport specific training. For example, many of my workouts will include a BOSU to challenge stability, heavy barbells to challenge strength, and a jump box to test athleticism and power. I believe this style when executed with particular attention to impeccable form and maximum form can benefit most.
When I\'m not in the gym, I like to explore the San Diego culinary scene, especially the many great restaurants in East Village, North Park and Little Italy. I enjoy outdoor activities such as trail running and beach workouts. I enjoy watching sports, especially basketball. My all time favorite team is the 1996 Chicago Bulls.

When training my clients I believe in training for quality movement from the ground up. Quality movement patterns reduce the chance of non-contact injury by 89.5%. For example, if you are not getting full hip extension or using your glutes properly, that movement is likely to be generated from the lower back. Since the lower back is generating more movements than it is suppossed to it will become more prone to injury.
My goal with my clients is to create a stable and safe workout that will help them get to their goals safely and quickly.Wrestling
