Offering peace and serenity though our meditative yoga classes gives Fit members an opportunity to rejuvenate, relax and re-group at the end of a long day. Yoga is about finding balance between the mind and body while learning physical postures, or “poses” that strength and increase flexibility in our bodies. Yoga poses can be done quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement (vinyasa-style yoga) or more slowly to increase stamina and perfect the alignment of the pose. The poses are a constant, but the approach to them varies depending on the tradition in which the teacher has trained. Fit yoga instructors offer classes for the novice to advanced yoga participant and focus on each individual’s abilities when giving direction in class.
